Einfache Reinigung des KatzenRobos

Easy to clean the CatRobo

How do I clean the CatRobo?

When it comes to cleaning the CatRobo, you have a little more flexibility with an automatic litter box like the KatzenRobo. You do not have to clean the litter in the litter box yourself, as the technology in CatRobo filters the litter independently and fully automatically after every time your cat goes to the toilet.

Even if you no longer have to shovel yourself thanks to the CatRobo's self-cleaning functions, the CatRobo still needs to be cleaned from time to time.

We have put together valuable tips for cleaning the self-cleaning cat robot. Once you get into a routine for cleaning the litter box, it won't feel as much like a chore anymore. Read on to learn how to clean the Cat Robo and what you should do weekly and monthly.

Empty the collection container

Thanks to the CatRobo system, it automatically detects when your cat has used the litter box and disposes of the waste in a separate, closed and odor-controlled waste compartment. We recommend emptying this container every 2-3 days, depending on the number of cats in your household. To do this, remove the waste compartment on the back of the CatRobo and dispose of the full toilet bag in your household waste. Place a new toiletry bag in the waste compartment and push the container back into place. The CatRobo is immediately ready for use again!

New cat litter every 2 to 4 weeks

Every 2 to 4 weeks you should completely dispose of the litter in the litter box(es) and replace it with fresh litter. How often you need to do this depends on the number of cats, their toilet habits, and the type of cat litter you use.

We recommend our natural cat litter because it contains no additives and has a soft texture. Compared to conventional litter, it consists of natural ingredients, which means that it produces little dust and contains no unpleasant additives or odors.

Monthly cleaning of the CatRobo

Do not neglect cleaning the cat litter box itself. Regardless of whether it is a conventional or automatic litter box, you should clean it regularly and carefully clean all parts of the cat robot with a damp cloth and a mild cleaner and then wipe dry.

Before you start cleaning the litter box, you should switch off the CatRobo and unplug it from the power supply. Clean the parts with mild cleaning cloths or sprays. Allow all parts of the CatRobo to dry completely before reassembling them. Make sure that the parts fit together correctly.

Our tips for cleaning the CatRobo

wear gloves

Whether you're scooping, replacing cat litter, or cleaning the litter box yourself, it's always best to have a pair of disposable gloves on hand! Cats can excrete bacteria or parasites in their feces that can be transmitted to humans. Most people don't need to worry about getting infected from their cat, but it's still a good idea to wear gloves when cleaning the litter box.

Use an unscented and pet-friendly cleaner

To clean the CatRobo, we recommend an unscented and pet-friendly cleaning spray or cloth. Cats are very sensitive to smells, many of which are found in cleaning products. If the litter box suddenly smells like a smell your cat doesn't like, he probably won't use it!

ATTENTION: Some parts of the CatRobo contain electronic components that must not come into contact with water.
